School Nurse

Mrs. Deubner graduated from Riverside White Cress School of Nursing and then received her BSN from Bob Jones University. After several years of hospital nursing, she accepted a position at Worthington Family Physicians where she has been employed for 44 years. For the past 20 years, Mrs. Deubner has enjoyed being on staff at NCS where she loves working with the students and staff! She has been married to her husband, Dick, for 50 years and they are the proud parents pf 2 children, both NCS grads, and have 4 grandchildren.

Health Aide

Junelle completed the emergency medical technician (EMT) program in 2013 and then worked as nurse tech in outpatient surgery, STNA, home health aide, and pharmacy technician. She plans to attend a license practical nurse program (LPN) in January. She has two daughters who attend NCS, one in 5th grade and one in 9th. Her favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11.

Mrs. Nicole Smith is a 1998 Bob Jones University graduate with a B. S. in Special Education. Prior to joining the NCS faculty in 2017, Nicole taught at Inter-City Baptist School near Detroit, MI, and Bob Jones Elementary School in Greenville, SC. She and her husband, Dave, have five children and are actively involved in Westerville Bible Church.

Student Support Advocate, Lower Elementary

Mrs. Wyatt graduated from Northland International University in 2009. She has moved to Columbus from Buffalo, New York, where she has taught for 10 years in the lower education department. Mrs. Wyatt is currently working toward her Master’s of Education degree in Teaching and Learning and is excited to use her newly attained skills and training to serve students in unique ways.

Mrs. Chelsea Anderson graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education. Chelsea has taught 2nd grade, preschool, kindergarten, first grade and served as a kindergarten aide. Mrs. Anderson has also substituted in different grades, including at Northside last year. Chelsea and her husband, Chazz, have 3 kids at Northside all in the lower elementary.

Mrs. Luanne Hacker graduated from The Ohio State University majoring in Elementary Education. She has taught 2nd grade, 2nd and 3rd combined, and Kindergarten. Her service at Northside began in 1980.

Mrs. Maria Bryant is a NCS parent and a member of Calvary Bible Church. Along with her role as a K4 Teacher’s Aide at Northside Christian School Maria serves teaching the Primary children’s class on Sunday mornings and the Pre K-K children’s program on Wednesday nights at Calvary Bible Church. Maria’s favorite Bible verse is 1 Corinthians 2:2.

Mrs. Vanessa Golden is a graduate of Appalachian Bible College where she met her husband, Nathan. She is also an NCS parent and member of Providence Church in Westerville.

Mrs. Joy Haines graduated in 1983 from Pillsbury Baptist Bible College with a B.S. in Bible and another B.S. in Secondary Education. Her service at Northside began in 2000. She had previously taught at Faith Baptist Christian School in St. Paul, MN. Her favorite Bible verse is Romans 5:8.

Mrs. Hill graduated from Geneva College in 2015 and has most recently worked as a teacher at Grace Early Childhood Center. Mrs. Hill has been married for 5 years to Wes Hill, who is an NCS graduate! Mrs. Hill has also served on staff at Peniel Bible camp for over 15 years.

1st Grade

Mrs. Linda Norris has a B.S. in Elementary Education from Northland Baptist Bible College. She taught for three years before she became a stay-at-home mom. During her 17 years at home with her five children she kept her passion to teach fresh through a home tutor business. In answer to her prayer, God put Linda back into the classroom in 2005. After two years God provided a teaching position at Pioneer Christian School in Dunbar, WI. During her five years at Pioneer she had the privilege of teaching first and second grade as well as mentoring college students preparing to teach in their own classrooms. Psalm 78:5-7 are some of her favorite verses.

Elementary Educational Aide

Ms. Aryn Pawlik graduated from Ohio State University in 2021 with a degree in English. In 2022, she began serving at Calvary Bible Church as the elementary Sunday school teacher. After substitute teaching at NCS, she now joins the elementary team in a new, full-time position. One of her favorite Bible passages is 1 Thessalonians 5:18.

Mrs. Beth Yorty has been in education for eight years, five of which have been in fourth grade. She is a graduate of Ohio Dominican University with an Elementary Education degree and Reading Certification. She has three grown children who attended NCS during their high school years. She has also been actively involved in children’s ministries at Calvary Bible Church for over 20 years.

K-7 Technology Teacher

Mrs. Elaine Faieta began teaching at Northside in 2015. She is a 1988 graduate of Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Education. Previously, she taught at Calvary Baptist Academy in Alabama and Liberty Christian Academy in Columbus. In addition, Elaine homeschooled her five daughters for many years. One of her favorite Bible passages is Lamentations 3:22-23.

Middle School Science Teacher

Mrs. Colette Pawlik is a 1995 graduate of UW Parkside with a B.S in Molecular Biology. She has homeschooled her six children for the past 20 years. She is excited about joining the NSC staff along with her oldest daughter. Her youngest two daughters will also attend NCS in middle school.

Mrs. Adriana Payton graduated in 2014 from Fairhaven Baptist College with a Bachelors of Science in Secondary Education with a focus in math and minor in music. Since then, she has taught math at the middle school level as well as teaching early preschool. Her favorite verse is Psalm 27:14.

Mrs. Richardson graduated from Maranatha Baptist University in 2012 with a degree in English Education. She has teaching experience at the Middle School level, as well multi-cultural teaching experiences in China. Mrs. Richardson and her husband, Judd, are both NCS graduates, and have 4 children who are all now NCS Lions themselves!

Mrs. Trent graduated from Commonwealth Baptist College in 2012 and has more than 14 years of teaching experience, including multi-cultural teaching experiences in both Japan and Romania.

High School Math

Mr. Mayton graduated from Ohio Dominican University in 2012, where he then went to serve in a number of different ministry roles – one of which was NCS! Mr. Mayton is a well-loved and recognized face for many of our NCS students, as he extensively substitute taught at NCS in both short term and long term roles for over 2 years. Jonathan and his wife, Erin, have 2 children, who are currently attending NCS in the lower Elementary.

Miss Jodi Meyer graduated in 1999 from Bob Jones University with a B.A. in English and a minor in Public Relations Journalism. She was a student at Northside for 13 years and graduated in 1995. Her service as a teacher at Northside began in 1999. Jodi's favorite verse is John 16:33.

High School Social Studies Teacher

Mr. Richardson graduated from Liberty University in 2017 and Maranatha Baptist University in 2012. He is a Northside alumnus who has been in education for 10 years and is looking forward to transferring his ministry to NCS. Judd and his wife, Tricia, are both serving as teachers at NCS, and their 4 children are in grades 2-4 this school year.

Mrs. Emily Stout graduated from Cedarville University with a Bachelor of Arts in Multi-Age Spanish Education and a Minor in Bible. She has participated in study abroad programs and cultural immersion experiences, where she gained valuable communication skills and a great appreciation for Spanish culture. She student-taught in Quito, Ecuador. She is from Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Science Teacher

Mrs. Kim Troutner graduated in 1988 from Miami University with a B.S in Biological Science Education. After teaching for three years in Worthington she became a stay-at-home mom to raise her three children. Prior to NCS, she spent six years working for Worthington High Schools as a Special Education Aide and a Science Academic Assistant, tutoring all levels and subjects in science.

Taryn graduated through home school. She was the head of the children’s church and nursery program at Grace Bible Church in Winchester, Kentucky. She currently operates her own small business and has two children at NCS, Ella in 3rd grade and Hunter in 10th grade. She and her husband, Kyle, have been married for 10 years.

8th Grade Bible

Chazz joined staff at Calvary Bible Church as Associate Pastor in 2022. A native of Central Ohio, he especially enjoys ministering to our college students and singles at CBC. Chazz champions Christ in all things; he came to Christ in college and since then has had a passion for ministry. After finishing a B.A. in Communications at University of Cincinnati, he went on to complete an M.Div. at The Master’s Seminary in 2015 along with a Th.M. in Old Testament a few years later. He and his high school sweetheart, Chelsea (NCS K4 Teacher), were married in 2012 and have three children: Charlea, Charity, and Chayden.

Pastor Brad Jury, the Secondary Chapel Coordinator and Junior & Senior Bible teacher graduated from Bob Jones University in 1999 and serves as the Senior Pastor of Providence Baptist Church of Westerville. His favorite Bible verse is Phil. 3.10. He also serves as the State Minister for the Capitol Commission of Ohio. He and his wife, Jennifer, have four children enrolled at Northside.

Pastor Hunter Sipe is an ordained pastor of 7 years and has ministered in Columbus, OH and Greenville, SC. He has a Master’s degree in Biblical and Theological Studies from Knox Theological Seminary in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He is currently planting Good Shepherd Bible Church in Blacklick. Hunter and his wife, Nikki, have three children: Finn, Shiloh and Louisa.

Pastor Matthew Vanderwarker is the senior pastor of Berean Bible Church in Dublin. He earned his B.A. in 1997 and his M.S. in 2004 from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. In 2015, he earned an M.B.S. from Virginia Beach Theological Seminary. Matt has 3 children at NCS.

Mrs. Kathy Corey graduated in 1973 from Bob Jones University with a B.S. in Art Education and a minor in English. Her service at Northside began in 1982. She had previously taught at Lanakila Baptist School in Hawaii, Maili Bible School in Hawaii, and School for the Deaf in Puerto Rico. Her favorite verse is II Chronicles 20:12b.

Miss Emma Peterson graduated from Capital University in 2023 with a degree in Music Education. She actually attended NCS beginning in 2005 and graduating in 2019. After graduation from high school, she spent three summers doing cleaning and organizing jobs around the NCS campus. NCS has been one of the most special and influential places in her life, and she knows it will continue to be as she teaches here!

Mrs. Sipe graduated from Bob Jones University in 2011 with a Bachelors in Art Education. She spent her first three years out of college teaching K3 here at Northside. She is wife to Quentin and mom to three children. Most recently, she served as the Children's Ministry Leader at Good Shepard Bible Church.
